k and a wire pin punches
The cut ends of ‘K’ Wires, Arthrodesis Wires and small pins used for fragment fixation e.g. distal femoral fractures, should be buried beneath the bone or articular surface to minimise soft tissue irritation. The tip of the punch is concave to locate onto the pin end. The other end is struck with a mallet.
