Tips on the use of the Plate Press • The press works at maximum efficiency when the handle is approx. parallel with the base. Make sure the press is on a stable firm surface • Place the plate to be contoured in between the anvils. • Adjust the gap between the anvils using the screw until the handle is parallel with the base. • Pressure on the handle will bend the plate. • Readjust the press using the screw to bring the handle parallel once again. • Contouring the plate should be accomplished using several small adjustments rather than one big one.
